Today’s card is for 2nd round of inspiration at Indian Craft Room. The challenge ICRCMON02 is about One color!
So here is my one color card for the same:
Teal all the way! I decided to create a card with this technique I used a lot before and had not used in a while – Dry Embossing and Wet Embossing combined. So I used this Damask Embossing folder by Stampin’ Up! (retired now), but before I put through the big shot, I rubbed the folder (the deep side) with versamark ink. This transfers the ink from the folder to cardstock. Sprinkle embossing powder and heat it.
How much of ink you rub on the folder is how much will transfer to the cardstock. I did a light rub, mainly around the edges of the deep side of the image…hence I got a transfer that is right around the raised surface… hence the darker looking edges. The sentiment is from Mama Elephant’s Sentiment Surprise.
I just love how the combo of both dry and wet embossing gives such a unique look to a card, especially when doing monochromatic cards.
This is all for now…do checkout the other DT inspirations (linked above)
Until next time,
