Recently I participate in SWOP Circle at Indian Craft Room. The Swops are back on ICR 🙂 and this was my first time participating. Usually I have always seen pocket letter swaps… the SWOPS at ICR are different…. they are project Swops!! Totally different… create assigned project, once the project is ready, send a sneak peek and you get an email with the name and address of person you need to send your creation and then wait for you to get one from someone. 😀
Easy, fun, exciting because you do not know who is sending you their project and how it looks, also how is the receiver of your project going to like the project 😀 Phew… It was truly a fun experience. You can find the APRIL SWOP HERE. Check out the Swop Project and also the creations in the comments section under the discussion post. April Swop was inspired by My Sisters Scrappers Waterfall Folio Album
So what did I receive? An absolutely cute and personalized album to save pictures of my little man when he arrives 🙂
So my gracious sender Gopi P sent me this absolutely personalized album… personalized with the color and theme for my baby’s room and his name 😀 Loved it completely. Love the wood veneer elephant…with the little circles all around it. Makes the cover looks so cute. I stared at the cover for a while before I looked inside!!!
The inside is equally cute…loove the papers she used. Also love the tags and the little elephant charms. Again the wood veneer Hello adds such a cute look to the inside. I can not wait for my little man to arrive and start putting his pictures in the album 🙂 It is going to be hold monthly pics of his 1st year 🙂
Now that we saw what I received, here are pictures of what I sent. I had to send my creation to Gopi P (since we both are here in the states..it was easier for them to pair us I think).
I tried to create a shaker circle on the cover with Gopi’s daughter’s initial (how alike are our brains, we both made something for each others babies :D). The paper I used on the cover is from Stampin’ Up! .. a very old collection that I had bought few packages of, because they had some cute baby paper. The letter stamp is also a retired stamp set from Stampin’ Up! The sequins are from Simon Says Stamp card Kit ( I think the March one).
On the inside I continued with the same paper collection… see why I like this collection… absolutely cute printed papers.
On the opposite side is a pocket that has a little quote, sticket embellishment and holds 2 tags- to journal or add pictures. The printed paper on the tags are form Becky Higgins Project life Kraft edition.
Was complete fun to make the album and receive one. While this Swop is done… the MAY SWOP has already been announced… so if you want to participate, sign up and join in the fun!
This is all for today…
Until next time,
